the house sitter

I love having friends, especially when they ask us to housesit and dog sit for them.  For the past four days I've been enjoying a bed that we refer to as THE cloud.  We have had the best sleep we've ever had in almost four years, and after the second night the Mr. awoke exclaiming "we need a new bed".  We have cable!!!  Netflix and Hulu Plus keep us company at our condo instead.  I never thought I'd be so happy to have cable, but I've been catching up on my guilty pleasures: Real Housewives of OC and NJ. Don't judge.  One of the best pleasures of housesitting is their beautiful backyard furnished with comfy chairs that have provided the best spot for quiet time.  Every morning I wake up, make my coffee, and head outside to be filled up.  Anytime I can go outside for this is ideal for me.

Probably part of the best part of housesitting is Jackson-they're adorable dog, my new running partner, and funniest sleeper.  I've realized that Jackson doesn't like to run over the metal plates that are along the road, and if I'm not paying attention he will attempt to go around them knocking me to my knees instead.  Jackson has made me want to have a dog like crazy.  He's the cutest cuddle bug and it amazes me how much personality he has, I can truly understand why they say "dog is man's best friend".  Tuesday is going to be a sad day when we have to say goodbye to the cloud, cable, and Jackson.  At least we will have these all to see and visit, that's why we love friends.
