it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas

Living in San Diego doesn't always give you that cool winter feel signaling that Christmas is around the corner.  We like to spend our days bundled up even if it is 60 degrees outside.  Even though the weather might not be telling me Christmas is near there are plenty other beautiful signs....

Like packages!

I LOVE getting packages in the mail, or anything really.  Especially when they are scores from Cyber Monday (possibly an amazing pair of heels you may see after this weekend, I'm just saying...)

I always feel like a little kid when anything comes in the mail, even if I know what it is!

Handmade decor for the home and a fun craft night with the one and only Lins definitely lets me know that Christmas is near.

But one of the most infamous traditions that puts me in the spirit is the Women's Tea.  Every year at my home church the women's ministry puts on a Women's Brunch.  They make scrumptious food, the men of the church serve your beverages and wait on your tables, there is always an inspiring speaker, and a beautiful voice of angels gathering us in carols.  

This year the event was so big that they had to break it up into a Brunch and a Tea.  One of the funnest parts of this event is that one woman "hosts" a table, decorates it, and puts their touch on it. This was my mom's second year hosting the table and we all got the cutest little reindeer mugs to take home.  

The best part is having all of my family near during this beautiful event.  My grandma drove in from Arizona to partake in her first Women's Tea.

And my mother-in-law and Nana were there, too!  I love having family so close.

The Tea wouldn't be complete without a picture in front of their gorgeous tree, and a few teary eyes as we sang Christmas Carols...I'm a sucker.

This past weekend was also my dear friend, Colleen's, birthday!!!  The ladies got together for a yummy dinner and possibly partook in some pretty amazing karaoke singing at the local bar, but that's off the record. 

I love all of these wonderful things that let me know Christmas will soon be here!
